Explore the Foundations in Community Midwifery Program

Self paced, online, guided study program to prepare you to be a knowledgeable, safe, and confident midwife.

What You'll Learn

As you complete the twelve courses, you’ll dive deep to learn to care for women from pre-conception through the childbearing year with a focus on clinical aspects and holistic options. You’ll learn how to interface with the medical community, set up and manage a community based practice, how to optimize your study time, navigate an apprenticeship, and be aware of your own self care while pouring out to others. You’ll have a strong academic foundation to prepare you for the NARM Examination and a head start on preparing to practice.

Courses are released at a rate of about one per month with the last one projected to be live no later than June 2027.

Self Paced

Your downloaded course(s) will include video(s) from the instructor, focused study questions, vocabulary and more-all for you to work through as fast or slow as you need to learn while still living your life. Submit your answers for evaluation and interact with the instructor and other students in group discussion as you progress through the course(s).

Politically Neutral

No leaning left or right. This program is simply biologically sound and woman-centric. Students may submit answers that honor their worldview but will not be asked to take part in the culture wars.

Clinical Skills + Business Tips

To best prepare you for an apprenticeship and your future practice, clinical helps and business growing tools are woven throughout the courses.

“The ability to learn through a variety of methods on my own time, then debrief with the instructor is amazing. I’m free to learn on my own but not left alone.”
